The rhyme wasn&#039;t recorded until the 1800s, and the idea that it is about the plague didn&#039;t arise until after the WWII. It&#039;s also extremely unlikely that the version of the rhyme we have today is the same as existed in earlier times, since there are multiple versions, many of which don&#039;t contain posies or ashes.]]></description>
